And, oh, electricity, that force that flows through space, cannot be directly seen either. We can mathematically (that is, some can) describe these unseen things and be satisfied that they exist but  . . .

Well, this thought churns in my mind this morning. Like space and electricity, some very real things remain assumptions—like kindness, consideration, graciousness, gentleness, resistance, cruelty, confrontation, anger, obstinacy, courage, deceit. While the effect of these, like that of electricity, is profound, I suppose, in fact, they are simply assumptions. “No such things to see,” one might say lifting their eyes from an x-ray of the brain. But, wheeeew,what an impact such assumptions bring to life.
